What DischargeAI Does

DischargeAI collects the essential elements of a visit and produces a polished, consistent summary every time.

It automatically:

  • Structures the summary into: Diagnosis → Medications → Care Plan → Red Flags / Warnings

  • Pulls data directly from SOAP, ChronicleAI, Atlas, Atlas Flowboard, inventory, and treatments

  • Creates an editable draft you can refine before sending

  • Supports multiple output channels: print, email, text, RDVM report

  • Maintains consistent clinic branding, voice, and formatting

The goal: fast, accurate, professional client communication—without extra work.

How to Use DischargeAI

You can trigger DischargeAI from anywhere you manage the case:

  • EMR Chart

  • ChronicleAI

  • Atlas case file

  • Atlas Flowboard

To generate a discharge summary:

  1. Open the patient’s case in EMR, ChronicleAI, or Atlas

  2. Tap Generate Discharge

  3. Review and edit the AI-generated summary

  4. Add missing meds, instructions, or follow-ups

  5. Preview the final output

  6. Select your preferred delivery option:

    • Send

    • Print

    • Text

    • Email

    • Save as Draft

    • Send RDVM Report

Every summary is stored and audit-logged.

In the DischargeAI summaries page, you have two views for summaries:

  1. For Pet Parent: Generated in layman's terms with less medical terms, holding the weight and main information to make it easier for pet parents to understand and follow.

  2. For Provider: a generated view that talks in just medical terms like you, the provider.

Output Channels

DischargeAI supports all major delivery methods:

  • 📨 Email — branded, formatted, and mobile-friendly

  • 🖨️ Print — PDF for standard printers or thermal output for quick checkout

  • 📱 Text — via Twilio or Telnyx or MyPet, if enabled

  • 📄 RDVM Reports — clean, structured, referral-ready summaries

Customization Tips

Make DischargeAI feel like your clinic:

  • Add signature blocks for each DVM

  • Build template phrases (med instructions, diet notes, exercise restriction, suture aftercare, etc.)

  • Turn on clinic logo + brand header for all outbound summaries

  • Use Persona Engine settings to adjust tone for different client types

  • Configure preferred follow-up reminders to attach automatically

Small customizations → big reductions in rewriting and editing later.
