Enviro+ devices are connected smart sensors built for monitoring refrigerators, freezers, and other cold storage units inside your hospital.
Enviro+ monitors:
Temperature stability β ensures vaccines, medications, and samples remain within safe ranges
Condition changes β detects when doors are left open, units are cycling abnormally, or cooling is failing
Warming risks β alerts staff before medications or supplies become unsafe to use
Why Enviro+ Matters
Protects patient safety β by preventing the use of compromised medications
Reduces waste β early alerts help save thousands in lost vaccines or biologics
Meets compliance β provides logged temperature data for audits and regulatory requirements
Integrates with ClinicOS β all readings and alerts appear in dashboards alongside room and environmental data
How to Set Up Enviro+
Place the Enviro+ sensor inside the fridge, freezer, or cold storage unit you want to monitor.
Power on the device and connect it to your secure WiFi.
In ClinicOS, go to Admin Settings β Devices β Enviro+.
Scan the QR code displayed on the device to link it.
Assign the Enviro+ to a specific storage unit (e.g., Vaccine Fridge 1).
Set alert thresholds for acceptable temperature ranges.
How Enviro+ Works in Daily Workflow
Real-time monitoring β data flows into ClinicOS Environmental Overlays and Admin dashboards.
Alerts β staff are notified if storage temps drift out of safe range.
Reports β PDF/CSV exports provide temperature logs for compliance audits.
History tracking β admins can review past trends to catch recurring storage issues before they cause losses.
Key Benefits
Safeguards expensive inventory
Ensures compliance with vaccine and medication storage requirements
Provides peace of mind with 24/7 monitoring and proactive alerts
Integrates seamlessly into the broader ClinicOS environmental infrastructure
β οΈ Note: Enviro+ devices must remain connected to WiFi to report data. If disconnected, the device will log readings locally and upload once reconnected.
