It eliminates back-and-forth phone calls, manual spreadsheets, and third-party portals by bringing every delivery request, status update, and dispensing action into one unified workflow.

HomeDelivery is fully clinic-controlled.

Clients never see the underlying logistics — they experience it as a service provided directly by your hospital.

What HomeDelivery Does

1. Accept Delivery Requests from Multiple Channels

Requests can come from:

  • the MyPet App

  • client SMS or email

  • MsgBoard threads

  • refill reminders

  • online pharmacy

  • clinic staff creating a request on the client’s behalf

All requests land in the HomeDelivery Queue inside ClinicOS.

2. Syncs With Prescriptions & Refill Workflows

HomeDelivery ties directly into:

  • RXGuard

  • E-DEA Logs (if controlled)

  • CaseFolder

  • Inventory

  • Billing

  • Workflow

This ensures:

  • accurate dispensing

  • automatic stock tracking

  • safety checks

  • proper logging

3. Provides Delivery Status Tracking

Deliveries move through structured stages:

  1. Requested

  2. Pending Review

  3. Approved

  4. Being Prepared

  5. Ready for Dispatch

  6. Out for Delivery

  7. Delivered / Completed

Status updates sync to the client automatically.

4. Allows Clinic-Controlled Fulfillment

Clinics decide:

  • what can be delivered

  • when delivery is available

  • cut-off times

  • delivery fees (optional)

  • eligibility rules

  • review and approval requirements

No hidden logistics.
No external branding.
No confusion for clients.

5. Manages Diets, Chronic Meds, Refills & Special Orders

HomeDelivery supports:

  • chronic medication refills

  • preventatives

  • compounded meds (if your clinic offers them)

  • prescription diets

  • non-prescription supplies

All items follow normal approval workflows before they can be dispensed and delivered.

How HomeDelivery Works

1. Client Submits a Request

From MyPet or MsgBoard, the client can:

  • request a refill

  • request delivery instead of pickup

  • select delivery window

  • add notes or special instructions

  • review the cost before submitting (if enabled)

ClinicOS automatically:

  • identifies the patient

  • shows medication history

  • checks for pending refills

2. Clinic Reviews the Request

The request appears in the HomeDelivery Queue.

Staff can:

  • confirm the request

  • request clarifications

  • deny (with reason)

  • verify compliance requirements

  • adjust quantities

  • attach discharge notes

  • update the client

If the medication requires provider approval, the system routes the request accordingly.

3. RXGuard & E-DEA (If Applicable) Run Checks

Before approval:

  • RXGuard surfaces contraindications or safety flags

  • E-DEA Logs prepare controlled substance logging

  • Staff verify dose, appropriateness, and clinical history

AI support is advisory only.
Provider verification is mandatory.

4. Dispensing & Preparation

Once approved:

  • item moves to “Being Prepared”

  • staff dispense the medication

  • label is generated

  • inventory adjusts automatically

  • E-DEA entry is logged (if controlled)

5. Delivery Fulfillment

Staff update the order to:

  • Ready for Dispatch

  • Out for Delivery

  • Delivered

Clients receive notifications at each stage.

ClinicOS logs:

  • timestamps

  • staff member

  • patient

  • delivery window

  • completion status

Everything attaches to CaseFolder.

Important Notes

⚠️ All medication approvals must follow clinic protocols.

ClinicOS cannot approve scripts. All approvals require human review.

⚠️ Delivery Partners may require sealed delivery packages for non-factory sealed packaged (medications, preventions)

Partners may require items (exception of food products) to be in a sealed bag or container for delivery integrity.

⚠️ Delivery does not bypass DEA or state board requirements.

Controlled substances require full verification and E-DEA logging.

⚠️ AI safety checks may miss edge cases.

Providers must review all medication details manually.

⚠️ Delivery availability is controlled by the clinic.

Your clinic is responsible for delivery fees, windows, and policies.

⚠️ Do not use HomeDelivery to bypass in-clinic rechecks or monitoring.

Follow your medical director’s guidelines for refill intervals.

‼️ HOMEDELIVERY CANNOT SEND DEA CONTROLLED MEDICATIONS!

Nothing that is scheduled on the DEA or State controlled registry can be sent via HomeDelivery. PawthosX does it's best to program preventative and alert action into HomeDelivery to prevent this, ultimate responsibility remains with the clinic.
