Enrolling a Pet in a Wellness Plan in PawthosX One

Start an Enrollment

1. Open the patient record.

2. Go to Billing → Wellness Plan.

3. Select Enroll in a plan.

This opens the enrollment window where you can review the plan, payment method, start date, and client authorization.

Select the Wellness Plan

Under Plan or recurring kit, choose the Wellness Plan you want to enroll the patient in.

PawthosX displays the plan’s billing details, including:

• Billing cadence

• Number of billing cycles

• Scheduled billing date

Pricing is snapshotted at enrollment, so future changes to the plan’s price do not change the terms of an existing enrollment.

Select the Card on File

Wellness Plans use recurring billing and require a card on file.

Choose the card that should be charged for the plan.

If the client does not have a saved card, PawthosX will alert you. Add one first under:

Billing → Balance → Cards on file

Then return to the Wellness Plan enrollment.

Confirm the Patient and Start Date

Review:

• Patient — Select the pet associated with the enrollment.

• Start / first charge date — Choose when the plan should begin and the first payment should be processed.

Plans bill according to their configured cadence from the enrollment date. There is no prorating.

Obtain Client Authorization

The enrollment window displays the consent language shown to the client for recurring charges.

Review the authorization with the client, then check:

“I have read this authorization to the client and they verbally / in writing agreed to recurring charges.”

This confirmation is required before completing enrollment.

Add Internal Notes

Use Internal notes for any additional information your team should retain about the enrollment.

This field is optional.

Complete Enrollment

Review the plan, payment method, patient, start date, and authorization.

Select Enroll.

The pet is now enrolled in the Wellness Plan, and PawthosX will manage recurring charges according to the plan’s configured billing schedule.
